TNA iMPACT Tapings for 1/15/2009

- Thanks to Alex Hernandez for TNA Impact spoilers from Orlando, Florida to air this Thursday night:

Xplosion:

*Eric Young defeated Chris Sabin.

Impact:

*The Main Event Mafia comes out. Kurt Angle discusses everything the MEM has done and that they have accomplished everything they set out to do. He talks about the MEM ending careers and injuring people. Angle discusses his match tonight with AJ Styles and what better than to have Styles and Mick Foley in the same place so they can be taken out. Hernandez comes out and announces he is cashing in his World title shot against Sting right now.

*Hernandez defeated TNA champion Sting via DQ when the MEM interfere. Homicide and AJ Styles both fail to make the save and are also beaten down. Team 3D hit the ring for the save, putting Angle through a table. Team 3D remain in the ring and Devon cuts a promo talking about everything they have accomplished as a team but he wants to prove himself as a singles competitor. He challenges Angle. Brother Ray then follows suit and challenges Sting. Ray says Sting is worst of everyone in MEM because he just stood by watching when MEM beat Ray down. He says everyone can see through Sting and Ray promises to take care of him.

*Roxxi & Taylor Wilde & ODB beat The Kongtourage.

- Jay Lethal & Consequences Creed beat Abyss and Matt Morgan to become the top contenders to the TNA Tag Team championships. Morgan shoves Abyss afterward, sparking a brawl that security fails to break up.

- TNA announces that due to Angle being put through the table, he will not receive medical clearance to wrestle and it will be Styles vs. Steiner tonight.

- AJ Styles beat Scott Steiner w/ Mick Foley as the special ref after Petey Williams returned and hit Steiner, which dazed him and allowed Styles to hit the Pele Kick for the pin. Williams, Foley and Styles posed.

- The Beautiful People come out with the Governor, who tells they passed the test and can join her next week at the inauguration. She gives them papers to sign and they hug. Roxxi and Taylor Wilde come out and cuts a promo about how they are an embarrassment to the women’s division. Wilde said they aren’t Divas - they are Knockouts. Roxxi reveals there is no inauguration and they slime the Beautiful People with brown slime

non mi piace come si sta evolvendo la situazione MeM vs Frontline..apparte che ad ogni puntata i Frontline cambiano più o meno formazione..preferirei un 5vs5 piu delieato!Che un 5 contro 10 con i 5 che vincono sempre poi!felice almeno per il rientro di Petey contro Steiner!
Peccato per la valigetta sprecata da Hernandez così..che venga lanciato tra i Frontline ora anche lui?tanto uno più uno meno..

Ma i FrontLine è naturale che siano così tanti.. Cavolo, sono tutti gli originals TNA, se fossero quanto o meno dei mEm sembrerebbe quasi la TNA è fatta più da "scarti WWE" (come piace definirli al Wrestling Web) che di originali. E poi i mEm sono ovviamente meno perchè sono un èlite, mica una cosa da tutti eh.

Fermo restando che i membri della FrontLine che fronteggiano chiaramente i mEm sono Styles, Team 3D, Rhino (fuori), Jarrett (fuori), Joe, Petey e ci aggiungo un possibile Daniels. Lethal e Creed rappresentano la FrontLine, ma solo praticamente per le vittorie esterne (quelle che in teoria servono a tenere alto l'onore della FrontLine che per storyline deve per forza incorrere in queste sconfitte pesanti per ora) e idem per Sabin e Shelley. Per non parlare di Young e ODB.

Ma Ray va nel nel Main Event del prossimo PPV? Insultatemi pure ma è un match che voglio vedere, sono tra quelli che riescono a raccontare le storie migliori sul ring. Anche Petey-Steiner può riuscire bene, mesi fa fu bello, ora che abbiamo pure un background....

Per il resto non so dove vogliano andare a parare con Hernandez, shot usata (non sprecata) ed ora ha uno status superiore a quello del campione stesso. O lo pushano bene oppure il rischio di fare cazzate è enorme.
La KO Division va avanti ormai per inerzia, non capisco perchè non si decidano a smuovere le acque, magari con il turn di Melissa o con l'occasione che Roxxi merita da un anno.

Ah, poi, non ho ancora avuto tempo di vedere il PPV ma il report parla di un contatto Booker-Sewell. Feud per il Legend Title?

IMPACT 1.22.09:

- 4 way X Division Title Match
Alex Shelley defeated Chris Sabin, Sonjay Dutt w/So Cal Val & Sheik Abdul Bashir when Shelley pinned Dutt. At the end of the match, Sharmell came out and confronted referee Shane Sewell and made him return to the back with her.

The Main Event Mafia of Kurt Angle, Sting & Scott Steiner come to the ring. He says tonight they start with Petey Williams and end with AJ Styles. He says that its part Styles' fault he went through that table last week and playbacks are a bitch. He asks Team 3D who died and made them bookers...he said they can take their challenges for the PPV and stick them up their fat asses. Sting says no one speaks for him...and whispers something to Angle, who in turn whispers something back to Sting. Jim Cornette comes out and says Angle is right, 3D doesn't have the power to make matches but he does. And its not going to be Brother Ray vs. Sting or Brother Devon vs. Angle at Against All Odds, instead its going to be a 4 way match for the TNA World Title with Sting defending against Brother Ray, Brother Devon and Kurt Angle, first man to score the pinfall is the new champion. He knows that Team 3D can work together but asks if Sting and Angle can.

- Sojourner Bolt vs. ODB
ODB wins by DQ when Awesome Kong runs down and attacks her with Raisha Sieed & Rhaka Khan. Taylor Wilde & Roxxi come down with a chair & pipe to make the save.

- Tag Team Elimination Match
Booker T w/Sharmell & Scott Steiner defeated Petey Williams & Eric Young.
Eric Young eliminated by Booker T.
Booker T pins Petey Williams after a scisscor kick...Booker went for several pins attempts on Williams but kept lifting him up. Post match, while raising Steiner & Booker's hands, Sewell shook his head in disgust...and Booker got in his face and hit him, Sewell couldn't take it anymore and started lacing into Booker with a series of chops, Steiner & Booker beat down on Sewell until Earl Hebner came down to help him out.

- Lauren is in the ring, Matt Morgan comes out followed by Abyss. They discuss what happened post match last week. Morgan says the reason he's out there and had Abyss out there was to give him apology. And tonight, they will be the TNA World tag team champions. The two hug. Abyss says he accepts his apology and he's got a bad problem with his temper too. He mentions the two of them can go to therapy together. He's so happy he's got his whole family, his best friend of Matt Morgan and his girlfriend Lauren who he picks up and violently spins her around before apologizing.

- Non Title First Blood Match
TNA Tag Team champs Beer Money, Inc w/Jackie Moore defeated Matt Morgan & Abyss after Matt Morgan turned on Abyss, hit him with a steel chair and made him bleed. Post match, Morgan hovered over Abyss before beating him senseless into the corner. Abyss finally makes it to his feet and Morgan appears to be leaving the ring but instead turns around and hits Abyss with yet another chair shot. He stands over him before flipping off the crowd and leaving.

- Tables Match
AJ Styles vs. Kurt Angle
Angle wins following an Olympic Slam through the table. Post match, Angle repeatedly smashes Styles' ankle with a chair before putting him in the Ankle Lock. Kurt then goes to the broadcast table & takes the mic. He says the beginning of the end of TNA starts next week, he stands on top of the table and says, Look Ma, I'm on top of the world before heading up the ramp where he does a TNA Today interview with Jeremy Borash.

Io avrei preferito il contrario..
Cioè Abyss heel..

E penso che Kurt Angle tornerà TNA World Champion..Jeff Jarrett vs Kurt Angle III per il World Title? Un Sogno.

TNA Wrestling taped this week's edition of Impact from Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida tonight. Thanks to PWMania.com Orlando correspondent Julio Hernandez for sending us live text messages updates tonight:

TNA Impact (Airing this Thursday on Spike TV):

* The show opens with Scott Steiner, Booker T, and Kevin Nash coming out and going to the announce table. Nash and Booker chase off Don West and Mike Tenay. Scott Steiner runs off ring announcer David Penzer.

* A video is shown of Kurt Angle in the TNA office taking over. Jim Cornette confronts him and Angle tells him he can do whatever the Main Event Mafia wants to do.

* Sharmell takes over Lauren's job as the backstage interviewer. Sharmell exchanges insults with ODB.

* The Kongtourage (Raisha Saeed & Rhaka Khan) b. ODB via pinfall in a handicap match.

* A video is shown of Kurt Angle being happy with how the production of the show is going. Jim Cornette is still in his office. Jeremy Borash warns Angle of bringing Mick Foley back up.

* Sharmell is backstage with the referees. She says that Booker T will take on referees Andrew Thomas and Rudy Charles in a handicap match.

* Booker T b. Referees Andrew Thomas & Rudy Charles in a handicap match. After the match, Shane Sewell comes out and attacks Booker. Booker ends up laying him out.

* A video is shown of Kurt Angle. Sting is upset at Angle for putting him in a handicap match against Team 3D.

* Sharmell interviews Matt Morgan backstage. She asks him about his upcoming match against Petey Williams. Petey will be forced to have one hand tied behind his back for the bout.

* Matt Morgan b. Petey Williams via pinfall. After the match, Morgan, Booker T, and Scott Steiner beat up on Williams. Eric Young, Jay Lethal, and Consequences Creed hit the ring to try and make the save.

* Sharmell interviews the Motor City Machineguns. She asks them why they didn't help out Petey in which they responded with a sarcastic answer.

* Team 3D comes out and cuts an in-ring promo.

* Team 3D b. TNA Champion Sting via disqualification in a handicap match when the Main Event Mafia run in the ring. LAX, Abyss, and Mick Foley come out to make the save.

* Mick Foley cuts a promo in the ring, saying that the Main Event Mafia's reign of taking over the show is over. He announces that Hernandez will get another TNA Championship match at a later date. Mick Foley makes two matches for later tonight. First a weapons match, Abyss vs. Scott Steiner, but Abyss is the only one allowed to use weapons. The second match is a handicap match, Kurt Angle vs. LAX.

* Jim Cornette announces Booker T vs. Shane Sewell for Against All Odds.

* Abyss b. Scott Steiner in a hardcore weapons match (where Steiner is not allowed to use weapons) via disqualification when Steiner used a pipe. Suicide came out after the match to make the save.

* Lauren interviews a couple of cowboys plugging a bull riding show for Spike TV. Beer Money, Inc. interrupts the segment.

* Kurt Angle b. LAX via pinfall after an Olympic Slam on Homicide.

TNA Wrestling is currently taping next week's edition of Impact from Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida. Thanks to WNW & Orlando correspondent Julio Hernandez for sending us text message updates tonight:

Xplosion:

* Robert Roode w. Jacqueline Moore b. Consequences Creed

TNA Impact (Airing on 2/5 on Spike TV):

* The Main Event Mafia comes out and cuts a promo in the ring. Kevin Nash talks about Samoa Joe, saying that he will make Joe his bitch. Kurt Angle announces a tag match with Sting vs. Team 3D for later tonight.

* Kurt Angle turns his attention towards Sting and questioned his loyalty. Angle vows no matter what happens, the TNA Championship will remain in the Main Event Mafia. They all go to the back.

* The next match scheduled is the Motor City Machineguns vs. Jay Lethal & Consequences Creed but before the match, Beer Money take out Creed and Lethal. The Motor City Machineguns stayed in the ring the whole time. Roode took a chair and hit Creed in the arm against the ring post. Trainers came out and took Creed to the back. Lethal insisted on fighting the Motor City Machineguns in a handicap match. Eric Young came out to be Lethal's partner.

* Jay Lethal & Eric Young b. The Motor City Machineguns. After the match, Alex Shelley issued a challenge to Eric Young for the X Division Champion at Against All Odds. Young accepts but says Sabin can't be at ringside for the bout, Shelly agrees.

* Shane Sewell b. Sheik Abdul Bashir via disqualification when Booker T interfered. Booker and Sewell brawl until security comes out to break them up.

* The Beautiful People w/Cute Kip b. Roxxi & Taylor Wilde. After the match, the Beautiful People put paper bags over their heads. "Governor Palin" comes out to make the save.

* Brutus Magnus b. Sharkboy. After the match, Magnus says that he wants competition and issues an open challenge for Against All Odds.

* Matt Morgan b. Rhino via disqualification when Abyss came out with two bags, one with thumbtacks, the other with broken glass. Abyss cuts a promo thanking Morgan for re-releasing the Monster Abyss. He pours out the bags and sets a match for them at Against All Odds.

* Team 3D b. TNA Champion Sting & Kurt Angle via disqualification when Booker T and Scott Steiner interfered. During the match, Kurt Angle refused to tag Sting in and they argued a lot. After the match, Sting stood out of the ring while the other five guys were brawling in the ring. Kevin Nash came out to settle things down. Angle was upset at Sting for just staying outside the ring. Sting and Angle have to be help apart by the other members of the Main Event Mafia. Sting had a bat in his hands.

* The next set of Impact tapings will be on February 8th and February 9th.
