As part of the $20 million in budget cuts WWE CEO Linda McMahon promised on the last financial report, WWE is taping two episodes of Smackdown in Albany, N.Y. on Nov. 25. Although WWE isn't committed to a strict schedule of taping Smackdown every other week, Smackdown lead broadcaster Jim Ross says this should happen more frequently to cut down on travel and set-up/tear-down expenses related to a live TV taping. "It is my understanding that we are taping two episodes of Friday Night Smackdown in Albany, New York on Tuesday night which might become something that occurs on a more regular basis as a means of being a cost cutting measure," Jim Ross said on jrsbarbq.com. "That sure works for me as it means one less week on the road."
