Bobby Lashley turns down the chance to fight Alistair Overeem, says there wasn’t enough time to prepare

Former Strikeforce heavyweight, Bobby Lashley has reportedly turned down the chance to fight Alistair Overeem for the DREAM heavyweight title on the December 31st Dynamite!! 2010 show in Japan, saying there wasn’t enough time to prepare for the heavy hitting Dutchman.

This from HeadKickLegend.com:

Well it seems that after getting beat up by Chad Griggs at Strikeforce: Houston, Bobby has had a change of heart. His management team has turned down the fight stating there wasn’t enough time to prepare for the fight.

I think few would disagree with Lashley’s decision to turn down this fight, especially at two weeks notice. It does make you wonder if DREAM actually got their house in order and started booking fights four months in advance would they get the kind of cards normally reserved for the U.S.?
